Clash of continents

In the south western part of Bornholm, a part of the line, where two continents clashed together,
the northeastern precambric Scandinavian part, and the palaeozoic? sandstone south western Europaeic part of Bornholm.
The line continues to the Black sea.
It looks very dramatic, with big folds, but it has happened in al long period, with many earthquakes. This place always makes me feel very yong, a nice feeling!
The three pictures lowest, shows a peace of sandstone seabottom, it is possible to see the sand showelled together from the wawes, and an expert some years ago found the imprint from some jellyfish.

Oh Margit! I love this post! Thank you so much! The images are beautiful and show the details so well. I am trying to imagine the "clash". Wish I could just touch those rocks.

I have created a special bookmarks folder for this post and will visit often!
